From standing timber to log deck
Log Selection
Every board begins at the log deck. We source domestic white oak, red oak, hard maple, and hickory from certified Appalachian and Great Lakes suppliers. Each log is graded on-site: ring density, straightness, and moisture at the heartwood are measured before the saw touches bark.
Precision thermal conditioning
Kiln Drying
Logs are slabbed and loaded into computer-controlled dehumidification kilns running a 14-day schedule. Temperature and humidity are logged every 15 minutes. We target 6–8% final moisture content — the window where dimensional movement is minimized and the wood accepts finish without adhesion failure.

Tongue, groove, and dimensional precision
Milling
Dried blanks enter a four-head moulder running at 1,800 RPM. Tongue-and-groove profiles are cut to ±0.003″ tolerance. Each plank is end-matched and face-sorted. A laser micrometer reads every plank at the outfeed — any board outside tolerance is rejected to the seconds bin, not to your job site.

7-coat UV-cured polyurethane system
Finishing
Sanded to 120-grit, then loaded onto the finishing line. Seven coats of UV-cured polyurethane are applied in sequence — two sealer coats, three build coats, one color coat, one top coat — each cured instantly under 300W/cm² UV lamps. The result is a finish harder than any air-dry system and ready for installation the day it ships.

Batch-stamped and traceable to the log deck
Quality Control
Before palletizing, every plank is visually graded and stamped with a batch number encoding species, kiln run, mill date, and log deck row. A digital twin record is created in our traceability system. GCs and distributors can scan any board on a job site and pull the complete manufacturing record — moisture curve, finish adhesion test, and inspector sign-off.
